Favorite Ships: Asch/Natalia, Nat/Guy, Tear/Luke, Tear/Guy, Raine/Zelos, Hubert/Pascal... They're pretty boring, standard ships but I'm open to talking about any ship though.
Other Fandoms: Haikyuu!!, Boku no Hero, Blue Exorcist, Okami, The World Ends with You... There's a lot that aren't anime/manga related but I don't think they're really worth mentioning.
How do you enjoy your fandoms? Generally roleplaying and lurking, haha. I used to be way too shy to do anything in my earlier fandom days. Occasionally I'd make icons or themes for friends.
Anything else to share?Oh man, I haven't gotten involved in fandom stuff in a super long time. I currently work with students who have special needs, and adjusting to the career change ate up my life for a few years. I'm really excited to try and make new Tales friends again though, and get more active online again.

Yesss, you seem like a pretty cool person and I've wanted to connect with you since you for a while now! Yakuza and Nier and Tales is a hard combo to beat. o9

Regarding Duke/Raven, you'll have to bear with me because I've only played Vesperia through once at this point and I am not the best at remembering place names. /o\ A disclaimer statement about me: I personally don't need a lot of evidence to ship something (I am also a person who lowkey ships Velvet from Berseria with Velvet from Odin Sphere purely because they're both called 'Velvet' and I also consider "because it would be hot" a good enough reason to ship something) but one of the things I most like about Duke/Raven is the fact that they have weird unspoken stuff in common.

Raven's patently bad at coping (for fair reasons!) and puts on a fairly casual face while refusing to really engage with anyone (again, for fair reasons), whereas I see Duke as being quite focused and not too interested in digging when Raven decides to be evasive. Raven can listen to what Duke is passionate about and actually get it because of his own circumstances, without having to go into them himself (I don't think it's unfair to assume Duke knows some of Raven's Weirder Circumstances). I can see Raven going into this expecting to just be using Duke as a source of casual escapism and actually taking way more comfort from it than he wants to. I am in favour of subtle but unhealthy and I think that's the kind of relationship they'd have. Largely dispassionate about each other but somewhat connected all the same.

I jumped on this ship pretty early so I was definitely looking (hooray confirmation bias), but I am fairly confident that almost every time Raven enters a scene after being apart from the party, Duke is on scene moments later. I am particularly sold on the scenes where spoiler dude is talked about with spoiler lady from next point and Raven's comment sounds like "why didn't he tell me?" (can't find a clip of this), right before fighting spoiler lady (here, where Raven is to my eye conspicuously quiet, the way he is when he Already Knows Shit) and on the very end scene, which I won't go into due to spoilers, but the gist is that when you get Raven in the shot, he looks SO UNHAPPY about this (start here!); personally, I think it's because he still believes in what Duke's saying a bit more than what the rest of the party is saying. (Also everyone else prioritises the Adephagos/spirits/other people but Raven's comment is directly Duke-oriented.)

Aside: I haven't consumed any extended/additional canon for Vesperia and I don't really intend to. I tend to be original-source!only for my views of canons (except for Dishonored).

Also pretty sure Duke saved Raven's life in Baction, that is 100% not just me making things up. ALSO Raven is like "hey party, meet Duke Pantarei, my boyfriend". He totally said that. Those exact words. That's how I remember him being introduced anyway.

Favorite Characters: Lots and lots of favourites! But to try and keep it to the most most important; Zelos Wilder, Mylene Wilder, Anise Tatlin, Karol Capel, Hubert Ozwell, Cheria Barnes, Rideaux Zek Rugievit (a lot). IF YOU WANT MORE I HAVE MORE, gotta be succinct damn it.

Favorite Ships: Stahn/Rutee, Zelos/Lloyd, Kratos/Zelos, Duke/Raven, Malik/Hubert, Julius/Rideaux, Zaveid/Dezel. And again, these are just the Big Ones, there are definitely others!

Other Fandoms: Tales of... is definitely the fandom I'm most involved in, but I chat about Love Live! quite a bit on my various accounts — particularly the mobile game (Honoka and Ruby best girls). I love to write, so original characters are very important to me. Got a complex relationship with Final Fantasy, love some Tekken, playing a lot of Overwatch at the moment! I also love..... Formula One racing? WHERE MY RPG & MOTORSPORT FANS AT.....

How do you enjoy your fandoms?: I actually love to RP, but between work schedule and being in a GMT timezone, it's not an easy thing any more. That aside, I love meta/discussions in general, and I also love to write fanfiction. I have a bunch of Rideaux/Julius on my AO3 account @ gargant , as well as a few other things. I fully intend to return to the Zaveid + Dezel + Silva fic, I've just been seized by original writing that needs to happen first!

Anything else to share? I'm married to shinsengumi, so there's some crossover in our opinions! BUT ALSO SOME DISAGREEMENT, GRR. I haven't really been using Dreamwidth with any regularity for a long time now, but I'd love to have a good reason to get back into journalling, so making some friends here would be really great! How do you enjoy your fandoms? FANART, but sometimes fanfic, roleplay (mostly private, on Discord). These days I swear it's 90% tales crossovers involving art/fic/collaboration with friends. To be honest, discussion is one of my favorite ways to enjoy fandom with friends.

I love character analysis, worldbuilding, meta, and useless fun things. I draw a LOT of tales stuff because I love to share the love around. I am not a [game/character] apologist, and a lot of the above are things I love knowing some have glaring shortcomings ahaha. You won't hurt my feelings if you don't like the things I like, and I would still enjoy discussing them. TBH talking with friends who share different viewpoints has really helped me develop a greater appreciation for some characters or games I used to feel lukewarm about at best, so I really welcome conversation. How do you enjoy your fandoms? I like getting heavily involved with stuff when I can. So, mostly translations, scanlations, and news posts (I founded and used to mod tales-of-asteria and now help out with AbyssalC). I also write meta, though my true calling is writing fanfic... and still RP, it seems. I don't have time for games anymore though and just do the occasional PSL either here on DW or on Discord. I used to be active with the Persona fandom, but long since faded into lurkdom--which is also how I handle most other fandoms besides Tales.
Anything else to share? I'm actively working on an Abyss and Xillia 2 crossover called Promised Land! It's currently up at AO3, with some wonderful illustrations by my co-author jeredu. Please check it out if you like Ludger and the Abyss cast, I'm really proud of how it turned out. :D

It's been five years now, I think, and I don't think I'll be shutting up about Jade (or TOA) anytime soon, so feel free to friend me here if you like discussing him or check out my meta comm jadedreveries if that's your thing. One of them is a massive Peony/Jade fan and (while I haven't read the fic myself yet!) was completely wrecked by the latest chapter of your xillia (i think?) / abyss crossover lmao. Thank you for that, it was really cute to see the reactions it gave her!

But man it's so nice to see people around who still love Abyss! I feel like it's popularity really dwindled away with these new, shiny Tales games so it's super reassuring.
